Aah superclusters!
A supercluster as you know is a collection of galaxies together.
A little fun fact before we move ahead:
We all are aware our of our existence in the milky way galaxy which is a part of the the so often heard the local group. The local group however is a part of the Laniakea supercluster.
The supercluster is about 500 million light years across well as the local group is estimated 10 million light years apart. The local group houses a staggering 54 galaxies.
It is estimated that in the observable universe there are 10 million superclusters. While, galaxies seem to orbit around a galactic center but there is no central point in the universe. All galaxies seem to appear to be moving or traveling in a certain direction but the fact is that they are shifting away from each other due to expansion of our universe. Remember Einstein’s theory of General Relativity, where all objects in space are relative to each other! Similarly, superclusters are simply moving further and further apart and there will be a time where they will no longer be observable from earth while they may still exist.
